so i realized that i haven’t covered as much music as a crazy music aficionado like myself should. lately i have been pretty lame and not as up to-date with new releases as i usually am. i’ve been listening to a lot of bob dylan, beatles and paul simon–utter classics. that’s the thing. i get in these phases for long periods of time and tend to tune the rest of the world out.

i’ve also been throwing in some old get up kids and saves the day, whose new album under the boards is actually really good. it’s the saves the day we all know and love, but with a bit maturer sound. and the album is eclectic in terms of variety with upbeat songs like “radio” and “bye bye baby,” and the darker sound quota filled by the title track “under the boards,” the song a little reminiscent of brand new circa deja entendu. anyway, it’s a good album and i was lucky enough to see them live again last semester when they played at my school. check out my coverage of the show here in our campus paper.
