toby love.

toby
here’s why i am convinced that tomorrow’s season finale of the office called “goodbye toby” is misleading. toby, in my opinion, is a red herring and he will not be leaving the show. a few reasons…

1. if it is such a secret, why would they name the episode that?

2. he is a writer and producer, so i can’t see him leaving.

3. more importantly…i was just watching this video and E! is interviewing steve carell about next season. he quickly conjures up crazy plot lines, including one that involves michael and toby. now, if steve knew that toby was leaving, why would he say this? steve’s answer was quick and really not thought-out. had he thought about it, he probably would have been more careful about implying that toby would be here next season. now, take it as you will. maybe i am reaching, but i guess we will all find out tomorrow!

for the record, i love toby.

:) I don’t want Toby to leave either.
I’m hearing some buzz that your theory is correct. There are rumors going around that Ed Helms’ character is leaving and will be running The Office 2. My husband theorizes that HE will be the “proposal” (not Pam and Jim) and that Angela will reject him … which will lead to him leaving the show.
But even if Toby does leave, it is likely he will just move over to The Office spin-off…

I don’t want anyone to leave but I could see it being Toby. I heard Paul Lieberstein is nervous while acting so he may devote all his time writing which is what he really loves to do.
I hope if someone leaves it’s Hank the security guard

Bah. OK so he left. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a future for him on the spin-off.

But you were right about Andy proposing to Angela
