wow is all i can say. FINALLY big brother gets interesting. andrew, america’s favorite jew is sadly evicted by an unanimous vote. and he def went out, guns blazin. i’ve grown to love this guy. sure, he’s weird. but come on, he’s genuine and absolutely hilarious. and i think he had one of the best plea speeches in bb history. i loved how he called out hayden and kristin. was it smart? not even close. but you gotta give the guy credit. so long, captain kosher! you will be missed <3.

ellen degeneres announced today that she’s leaving american idol after one year. blah. i’m not gonna cry about it. ellen, i love ya. you’re a funny gal and i love your show. but as a judge…well you weren’t anything to write home about.

just another indication of how american idol is going down the drain.

what do you think about her departure?

here’s the statement she released:

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the “American Idol” producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on “Idol” and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

tonight jersey shore returns with its second season. i admit, i hated the idea of this show before it took over television last winter. as a jersey shore girl, i had my reasons. but after witnessing the hilarity, you can’t help but love the show. do i like the influx of guidos it has brought to my town? no. but, the locals have come to at least appreciate the humor and some of the best one-liners i’ve ever heard.

saw the cast last weekend in seaside filming season 3. they were taking over karma. i just don’t know how that will work out since everyone knows who they are, where they live and where they party, but hey, should be interesting.

will you be tuning in tonight?

looks like patrick gallagher got the boot from glee’s upcoming second season. according to perez (don’t worry, i’ll post a more reliable source when it’s available), the grimy yet likable coach is being replaced by a female football coach (played by dot jones), which should leave a lot of legroom for new storylines. perhaps some power struggles with one sue sylvester?

i don’t know how i feel about this change yet…what about you?

after justin tweeted this photo, bieber fans everywhere went into panic mode. no girls, he’s not in trouble. our clean-cut favorite boy is on the set of csi for his upcoming acting debut airing sept 23. way to bring in the ratings, cbs. good call.

we all know (at least the die-hard gleeks) that charice has been tapped to play a new character on glee’s upcoming second season, which premieres sept 21. but it looks as though another spot is being filled. according to ausiello, 30 rock’s cheyenne jackson is also joining the cast for a recurring role as the director of vocal adrenaline, which was recently left vacant by the lovely idina menzel.

what do you think of this addition to the cast? i’m not a 30 rock-watcher (surprisingly) so I want to know what everyone thinks!

damn, that’s the longest blog title i’ve ever had! lol i usually keep ‘em short. oh well. since i’m an unemployed writer and most of my television love is put on hold for the summer, i decided to do a list series every once in a while. today’s will focus on my favorite finchel (that’s finn and rachel—yes i’m a dorky shipper) moments of the first season. i know a lot of you peeps like puckleberry (puck/rachel) and jesse/rachel (what’s their ship named?), but i think finn and rachel have the best chemistry on the show. and after all, this is my blog. so deal.

warning: if you’re not a glee fan and not a fan of finn, you might not like what you’re about to read. but if that’s the case, you must also be a robot, so i don’t really care

anyway here we go….

10. sad clown hooker. (hairography)

rachel takes some not-so-good advice from kurt and dresses up as sandy from grease, much to finn’s horror. underneath the insults, he tells her that she should just be herself because that’s what he really likes about her. hell, he even compliments her sequined leg warmers. that’s love.

9. “that kiss was real.” (the rhodes not taken)

while trying to scheme to get rachel back into the club, finn gets caught up in a kiss with her. but when rachel finds out why he took her on a date and that quinn is preggers, she slaps him. he may have lied, but he admits that the kiss was the real thing.

8. hello goodbye hang on (hell-o)

first rachel loved finn but he was with quinn. then finn loved rachel but she was with jesse. all this tension played itself out perfectly in the group’s rendition of “hello goodbye.” they just can’t seem to get the timing right. and the ending shows that neither is ready to let go just yet.

7. jealous finn (mash-up)

i love nothing more than watching finn get jealous. because for the longest time, it was hard to get his feelings for rachel to even show. so when i saw his reaction to puck singing to rachel, i couldn’t help but smile. don’t think we didn’t catch your envious eyes, finn.

6. jessie’s girl. (laryngitis)

swoonnnnn. seriously, who didn’t want cory monteith in this moment? ahhh. he never sounded better and damn, he never looked better. and finally, finn is letting everyone know about his feelings for rachel. bout time.

5. “nobody likes me.”….”i like you.” (wheels)

should he be saying this to a girl when he has a pregnant girlfriend? ehhh, but this moment was so subtle and cute. i think the best moments between finn and rachel are the subtle looks and the subtle yet obvious admiration. it’s what makes this couple great.

4. the duets.

i couldn’t pick just one. “faithfully,” “no air,” “borderline/open your heart”—they’re all amazing. i even love the little moments in “somebody to love,” “don’t stop believin,” and “total eclipse” because they say so much about how the characters are feeling without dialogue. come on, i’m not the only one who got all that subtext during “total eclipse?” or all the sexual attraction in “borderline?”

3. “i don’t give up that easy.” (hell-o)

after finn’s ego breaks up with rachel, she goes off and finds love (or more infatuation) with vocal adrenaline’s lead guy jesse. soon after breaking up and going on an unsuccessful date with santana and brittany, finn realizes maybe rachel is the only girl that really gets him. too late, she says. although, you can see it in her eyes that she’s definitely not over him. well, as he adorably says to her…he’s not just a random guy and he’s going to fight for her.

2. the first kiss. (showmance)

this is where i fell in love with them. the whole moment was so realistically awkward and you could feel the sexual tension through the tv screen! i just thought it was adorable how vulnerable they both were in the moment. finn’s supposed to be this popular jock, but shows his nervous side while spending some alone time with the most hated girl in the school.

rachel: “you can kiss me if you want to.”

finn: “i want to.”

1. finn’s surprisingly early and adorable “i love you.” (journey)

um, how could you not “aw” at that moment? i know a lot of people found it premature (no pun intended, i swear!), but to be honest, i thought it was perfect. he didn’t plan it. he just blurted it out in the most perfect way. besides, after a season-long struggle for finn, i think it’s safe to say rachel is the only one who’s always there for him.

rachel: “break a leg.”

finn: “i love you.”

…ok so basically this post just proved my obsession for cory monteith. oh well.
