ok, i would apologize for those of you that don’t watch the office because for the next week, that’s probably all i am going to be talking about. BUT if you don’t watch the office, you’re crazy. hands down the bet comedic show on television today. and next week marks the biggest episode to date. the long-awaited and much-anticipated pam/jim wedding!!! after years of playful banter, hidden feelings and obvious-but-sublte flirting, these two are finally getting their happy ending. man, i know the tears will be flowing. today, i watched casino night and wow, i still tear up with jim’s confession! here comes the office marathon…

Jim: I’m in love with you.

Pam: What?

Jim: I’m really sorry if that’s weird for you to hear but I needed you to hear it…Probably not good timing, I know that I just…

Pam: What are you doing? What do you expect me to say to that?

Jim: I just needed you to know. Once.

Pam: Well, I um… I… I can’t…

Jim: Yeah.

Pam: You have no idea…

Jim: Don’t do that.

Pam:…what your friendship means to me.

Jim: Come on. I don’t want to do that. I wanna be more than that.

Pam: I can’t. I’m really sorry if you misinterpreted things… It’s probably my fault.

Jim: Not your fault. I’m sorry I misinterpreted…uh..our friendship.

and as for tonight’s episode…it seemed short. it wasn’t my favorite either, but it was still amazing. of course, everyone is excited for the wedding and it was a nice change to see jim struggle in more of an authoritative position. he got his own office! he and michael argued over raises and then bonded over their “world’s best boss” mugs (after michael gives jim one of course). and i absolutely loved dwight’s talking head about the revolutionary war. “and kevin jefferson got distracted by a butterfly!”

definitely brought on the “awws” as pam prepares to become mrs. halpert!

and as for this promo for the wedding episode, i could sense the tears forming…

anyway, this episode had a lot of laugh-out-loud classic lines. michael is on a mission to steal clients from his former company dunder mifflin and at first, dwight is loyal in helping him get off his feet. but once charles starts warming up to dwight, he realizes he has to cut ties with michael if he wants to move up. meanwhile, dwight is wearing long-sleeved shirts as per charles’ dress code policy. he actually does look strange wearing them if you ask me.

andy is set on making jim feel bad about his upcoming nuptials with pam, out of his own subconscious heartache. jim plays along and we see him stomp on his lunch and cry in andy’s arms. while jim says he doesn’t like who he sees when he looks in the mirror, andy simply replies, “so what? you’re body is a ten!”

dwight tells michael that he will treat him, pam and ryan to lunch at alfredo’s (which to us fans is reminiscent of season 4′s kidnapping incident). dwight is of course a no-show and while they are eating, he decides to raid michael’s office (aka storage room) and steal his rolodex, which include tidbits of personal info on every client.

after michael finds out, he says he is going to eat the meatball sub he got for dwight.

“i knew you would do that. the meatball sub is their worst sandwich.”

“bastard.”

michael gets a meeting with dwight’s biggest client and surprisingly does a good job of persuading him to switch suppliers. dwight bursts into the client’s office in the middle of the meeting (“spin move!”) and tries to use the information he stole from michael to impress the client. instead, he ends up insulting his gay son. awkward and oh-so-funny.

“hi there dwight schrute here. i was just calling to see if michael scott paper was meeting all of your paper needs. and how is “brenda age four, ponytail and simon age seven?”

jim ends up telling andy that he is really happy with pam and although angela broke his heart, he will find someone else. jim promises him. so cute. i’m looking forward to the wedding!

anyway, i’m not sure how long this michael scott paper company is going to last, but it is a funny change and provides a lot of new material for the writers. of course, we are all rooting for michael to get back in that dunder mifflin office where he belongs. but i have a feeling we have to see the fall of charles before we see michael’s triumphant return. can’t wait!

other classic lines..

charles: michael i want you to stop pestering my salesmen and i want you to leave dunder mifflin alone. do you understand?

michael: i. understand. nothing.

michael: i color code all my info. i wrote “gay son” in green. green means go. so I know to go ahead and shut up about it. orange, means orange you glad you didn’t bring it up. most colors mean don’t say it.

jim: it’s just that pam gets me through the day, you know? i really rely on her. i’m pretty emotionally needy.

andy: and you know what? I am here for you. let me be your traveling pants.

michael: i brought you into this world and i can take you out. bill cosby.

pam: i’m confused. am i walking down the aisle to “you can call me al?”

andy: trust me, you will not be walking. you will be boogeying.

charles: dwight, take a seat.

dwight: i prefer to stand. less blood clots.

now with jim and pam, the poor guy paid for fireworks and had the friggen ring in his hand ready to propose! so sad. and pam was obviously disappointed that he didn’t do it. as for ryan, he is behind bars for theft and it’s very convenient that his job position in nyc will open at the same time pam is off to the city for design school. i see jim landing a promotion and thus being lose to pam.

now for the disappointments (besides the lack of pam/jim engagement). jan and michael. ugh. she’s pregnant, which means she is staying on the show. at this point, i could live without her character. she says she went to a sperm bank, but i think the baby is her former assistant hunter’s. oh yeah. poor michael. i can’t believe i am saying this but michael scott is too good for her. nonetheless, he plans on being in the baby’s life. gag.

and finally, poor toby is gone and it pains me to see him leave. some of the best comedic moments on the show were exchanged between michael and toby. i have hope he will make a guest appearance in the future. as for the spin-off, it remains unclear who it will involve. so far, ryan’s status as a castmember is also up in the air. he was arrested and therefore, is unlikely to stay at dunder mifflin, so what are they going to do with his character? not sure, but despite his air of subtle arrogance, i like ryan. he and kelly belong together in a strange and annoying way. love it.

it was nice to see the finale got back into the swing of things in terms of comedy. the last few episodes have been kind of mediocre, but i was definitely keeping my laugh up thursday.

i don’t know how i am going to last till fall. i am going through office withdrawl already.

1. if it is such a secret, why would they name the episode that?

2. he is a writer and producer, so i can’t see him leaving.

3. more importantly…i was just watching this video and E! is interviewing steve carell about next season. he quickly conjures up crazy plot lines, including one that involves michael and toby. now, if steve knew that toby was leaving, why would he say this? steve’s answer was quick and really not thought-out. had he thought about it, he probably would have been more careful about implying that toby would be here next season. now, take it as you will. maybe i am reaching, but i guess we will all find out tomorrow!

for the record, i love toby.

HELLO! jim has a RING for pam. A RING. he says he bought it “a week after they started dating.” how friggen adorable. and then, at the end of the episode, he gets down on one knee as a joke. so cute. only those two could pull that off without it seeming too mean or ridiculous. basically, my heart stopped. hey, i’m a girl.

also, i’m loving more of andy! i was hesitant about him when he first came on the show last season, but he has become one of my favorite characters. i am really hoping he isn’t going to leave for the rumored office spin-off. cause let’s face it, spin-offs never work out. but yeah, andy’s victory dance was quite amazing. as was michael and dwight singing (albeit terribly) of “american pie.” even though i would love to have seen more kelly, stanley, ryan and everyone else, this episode definitely got back to the office we all know and love. i mean, i like episodes that take place outside the office (booze cruise, beach games, email surveillance, the dundies), but “dinner party” last week was a little too much of a departure for me. and like i said, jan needs to jump off a bridge or something. nevertheless, what a great night of entertainment.

some possibilities…pam finds the engagement ring and/or freaks out when jim eventually asks her. i mean, i love these two, but come on, it’s television and it won’t go as smoothly as we all would like, sadly. something is going to happen that will drive angela and dwight back together, at least i hope. maybe she becomes pregnant with dwight’s baby! that’d be great, although unlikely. hopefully jan and michael are done for good. probably not. ryan will get fired from corporate and come back to scranton. personally, i miss ryan and kelly. who knows, should be an interesting rest of the season!

well ok…i’ve been watching every other season too. i just can’t get enough!
