after justin tweeted this photo, bieber fans everywhere went into panic mode. no girls, he’s not in trouble. our clean-cut favorite boy is on the set of csi for his upcoming acting debut airing sept 23. way to bring in the ratings, cbs. good call.

found this video on youtube and was blown away by this girl’s voice. her name is lindsey lee and she’s probably the best singer i’ve ever seen on youtube. i mean, there are a lot of decently-talented people floating around the internet, but she’s the real deal. gorgeous with an amazing voice. check out her other videos! i love her colbie caillat (i never told you) and b.o.b. (airplanes) covers too. check them out!

to be honest, i’ve never been a huge fan of eminem. sure, i liked his first couple albums. i was in high school when they came out and it’s when he literally just blew up. his lyrics were funny, clever and well, crazy. people were in shock mode and parents switched into attack mode. but he had talent and that was it. after several mediocre follow-up albums, he finally released an LP that’s worth listening to. and this is coming from someone with mostly alternative and classic rock in her itunes.

recovery is simply amazing. it’s been on nonstop rotation on my ipod. why is it so great? well for one, you don’t have to skip songs. every single one is good. i have my favorites, but not one is what we like to call a “filler.” no fillers needed. you can just tell that he’s back in the right state of mind. his lyrics are so truthful and well-thought out and for once, i can relate to a lot of them.

anyway, no need for me to ramble on about it, go check it out.

yeah yeah i know. i’m going to rant a lot this week about music. i’m on vacay and actually have the time. another of this week’s obsessions: manchester orchestra. i’ve had their stuff on my itunes for a few years now, but never really sat and listened to them nonstop. well now i can’t stop. i’m a huge fan of “i can feel a hot one.” so download it, listen, repeat. and if you’re cheap, i pasted a live version below.

sounds exactly like the recorded version. that’s when you know you have talent. even some of my favorite bands suck live. good albums, horrible shows. but anywayyy, i’m a big fan of kevin devine as well and he and mancester ochestra recently released a split EP titled, “i can be the only one,” which you must check out as well. there, my rant is over. that wasn’t so bad?

been a while!…like 6 months actually…not sure if i am going to start a whole new blog. i’m thinking about it. but for the meantime, i’m back to the blogosphere. i missed it! i don’t know what my whole little break was about. something to the “finding myself” effect. you know, the early life crisis post-grads seem to experience while unemployed.

anywayyy, my first ipod rant back is about english folk band mumford & sons. they have been on repeat in my iTunes rotation for the last week or so. if you caught the season finale of one tree hill on monday (which will have it’s own post later!), you hear their song, “timshel.” it’s a beautiful song and just one of the awesome tracks on their record “Sign No More.” checkkk it.

don’t scream too loud, but yes! today fox announced that glee has been picked up for a 2nd season coming this fall. not a big surprise to me considering the ratings and crazy fan base (myself included), but the fact that the news comes 3 months before the rest of the 1st season even airs, is a great sign.

glee is racking up nods across every award spectrum. just last week the show pulled in a win for best new comedy at the people’s choice awards! now, the show has been nominated for 2 writer’s guild awards, including best comedy series and best new series.

and be sure to tune in this sunday, january 17 at 8pm EST for the golden globes. glee is nominated for best comedy or musical series, best actress (lea michele), best actor (matthew morrison) and best supporting actress (jane lynch).
